Don't Leave Fish to Find Fish!

As the old adage goes, don’t leave fish to find fish. I have found this out the hard way by fishing a good hole in the river, and catching fish there, but leaving for a better “looking” spot down stream if the action slows down a little. In retrospect I totally knew I shouldn’t have left, but instincts took over. As they say, the grass is always greener…

Sometimes you have to exhaust all possibilities in order to capitalize on an area. If there are fish there, and they quit biting, try a different lure or presentation. Sometimes persistence pays off. I have been tearing ‘em up on a chatterbait and then they just stop biting. I change to the ol’ brush hog and start catching fish again. Stay focused and be resourceful.
